After only five days, I'm seeing things I haven't seen in three years of playing. The book is short and to the point which held my attention better than most and the videos are laid back and very informative. I can't wait to pick up my guitar and have another eureka moment. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Thanks a whole bunch for that feedback. You know, I actually started writing the book while my wife was in labor with our first child. Yeah, I know what that probably sounds like...like I wasn't doing my part with the breathing and coaching like I should...but her experience was phenomenal. Every time I tried to help her she let it be known that I was breaking her concentration and, thereby, causing her discomfort. After a few hours of feeling helpless, I decided to give birth to my own baby. And so, the first pages of rSoG were born! My goal, from the start wasn't to make a big fat book like all the others out there. Rather, I wanted to defy my natural tendency and make it as short as possible; that was my goal. You know, even as I took it to the print shop down town I was a bit worried that the world woudn't take it seriously because it was so few pages. The original, was only about 25 pages. The guy at the print place encouraged me to add blank pages in the back for students to take notes on to also beef up the size of it. The thickness was a joke. It was spiral-bound and looked more like a book-let.
Anyway, your point about it holding your attention is huge for me to hear. Every other book I ever try to read on guitar lost me WAY before I reached the end. In fact, they lost me in the very first chapter. Well, if I could have safely written the whole thing in even less pages, I would have!
In fact, I wish we could just plug our heads all in like they did in the Matrix! I've always wanted people to get as close to "seeing" what goes on in my head when I play...so much can be learned.
When people read tabs, it's great and all, but what's missing is all the other good notes they could hit in that key. You know what I mean? If you could see all those other notes and got some experience navigating the pattern, getting used to what certain parts sound like versus other parts, you could probably figure out the whole song without the tabs.
Anyway, it's great to hear any and all feedback...it's what keeps me going! So, thanks again! And keep the posts/question/comments flowing. Someday this forum may actually take off...

That is a big problem for me. I had a long distance tutor from the London College of music and he recommend I work out of several books. I'd get these lessons and they were huge. One in particular,it would take me like two to three years to complete thouroughly. I've read them but to actually incorporate them and pratice them and give them the proper attention is going to take awhile. Needless to say, they are collecting some dust. I open them and work out of them every so often but when you have so much to work with and such a desire to play other things, they don't see much attention. Short and sweet works much better for me.
